In order to give new converts to Jesus Christ a proper foundation in the full, uncompromised gospel that will permit them to grow, I recommend teachings on the following topics. These subjects will begin developing their character and will enable them to stand firm against Satan’s attempts to pull them back into disobedience and darkness. It is especially important for us to assist new believers since many ofthem are saved in the midst of family turmoil, substance abuse, emotional problems, etc. We have to play our part in helping them turn their lives around. This course will get new converts started on the road to righteousness, but it is also subject to enhancement or expansion as the Holy Spirit leads. The topics below are not necessarily in the order in which they should be taught; this is subject to discussion.

Scriptures explaining the importance of faith in God in a believer's life.  This lesson takes students through the “faith” chapter of the Bible, Hebrews 11. Demonstrates to students how it motivates God to answer their prayers and give examples of Abraham and others who persevered during trials and were blessed through their faith. Show them how doubting brings in fear, destroys your faith and cripples your walk (look at book of James, etc.).

This teaching will explain God’s (not man’s) intended family structure andthe role of each individual in keeping it sanctified and free from strife. We’ll discuss the similarities between familial relationships and ourrelationship with Jesus and how each member (the husband especially!!!)should respect and look out for the needs of the others. We’ll also seeGod’s command for men to support their families (financially, spirituallyand emotionally), discuss how this is destroying our society today, and showwhy it is important to discipline our children properly (with tough love attimes, but without abuse). *** Note *** If the church would like, I have an11-page writing called “War on the Family” that God inspired me to writewhich includes scriptural references that can also be copied and distributedfor use in this class and other uses.

This teaching explains why it is important for believers to remain consistent in their church, Bible study and other forms of interaction with their fellow believers.Explains the need to fellowship with God on a daily basis (vertical fellowship); also state how we should separate ourselves from unbelievers horizontal fellowship). We need to run to God and other believers in times if trouble, instead of unbelievers.
